Helping You Stay Open for Business
As the U.S. seeks to find stability in the new normal, Three(I) was hired by River City Capital to support the execution of a short-term campaign to inform small business owners of their new grant related to Covid-19.
The Challenge
More the 40% of the African American businesses across the country have closed their doors due to Covid-19. The CDFI, River City Capital has fought to support local small businesses and residents with financial challenges. RCC partnered with Cummins Inc and the Community Foundation of Greater Memphis to give out $1.6 million in grants to businesses. However, they wanted to make sure minority owned businesses and businesses located in low-income communities were aware and supported in taking advantage of this opportunity.
RCC Covid Grant Radio Spot 30 second.
The Solution
Our solution was to develop an effective outreach effort - with a focus on minority owned businesses - that would result in raising small business awareness around grant opportunities to support them during the pandemic. Then build on the RCC’s positive reputation with the local community and the city’s small business leaders. We did this by collaborating with our outdoor advertising partner, email marketing, public relations, local radio stations, and social media advertising.
Our Results
Within six weeks, all $1.6Million was given out to local businesses across the city of Memphis - with 65% being black owned businesses. The outreach not only brought 500+ grant applications, but also improved engagement and awareness of River City Capital.
